ハルナ基金開設
上記被災子犬のハルナの病名が、農工大付属動物医療センターで確定した。
SPCでのエコーの通り。残念ながらわずかな希望がついえた
病名は心房中隔欠損症。かなりの大きさの穴が確認できた。
寿命は手術しなければ１～２年くらいだと言う。
生まれたばかりだというのに、...なんとか手術で延命してやりたい。
だが、問題は手術費。
体外循環装置での手術は桁外れに高い。
とてもSALAの貧弱な経営状態では手も足も出ない。
あどけない瞳を見ると、不憫さで胸が締め付けられる思いだ。
宝くじあたらないかと切望する。

NEW : "Haruna Foundation" has been set up.
Through SPC medical checks at Tokyo University of Agriculture & Technology Animal Hospital
it was found out that Haruna, a puppy who was rescued in the disaster-stricken area, is
suffering from interatial septal defect. Rather big hole was found.
Her life expectancy would be about 1 to 2 years if an operation is not given.
We want to give her an operation. The operation would be with extracorporeal circulation
and the cost would be very very expensive. However, it is almost impossible for us, SALA
who are in poor financial condition, to give Haruna the operation unfortunately.
We now want to set up "Haruna Foundation" (name of the foundation is "Dambo Kikin")
and would like to ask for your kind support. We sincerely appreciate your kind donations.

The owner of Hasshy (temporary name) identified. (Sat., August 20, 2011)

A member of our rescue network groups advised us that the owner of Hassy has been identified.
Hasshy stayed at his owner's house, he did not move around, as we thought.
He was just waiting, waiting and waiting for his owner's return - he just waited there even bitten by other dogs.
He has been a very good boy even after protected at the SALA shelter.
The owner was crying to hear that Hasshy was already protected and waiting for the owner.
A poster about Hasshy brought this good result.
We are really more than happy.
Hasshy's actual name is "Ken". It is the same name as the dog we also rescued in the same area who often
picks up a fight with Hasshy - SALA named this dog Ken after rescued -- what a coincidence !
He was also moving around his owner's house. We hope the Ken's owner will also be identified.
He ate the dog food when we put on the brick, then we attracted him with dog treats leading to the dog cage.
We hope the owners of all the protected dogs are identified, then we can call them by their actual names.
It will make them feel easy and relax. We really wish they had microchips implanted.
